Russian Towers Group and the City Administration of Nizhny Tagil signed an agreement
Russian Towers Group and the City Administration of Nizhny Tagil signed an agreement of intent to implement the “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation” program in the territory of the city.
Alexander Chub, President of Russian Towers Group, and Vladislav Pinaev, mayor of Nizhny Tagil, signed a document that will determine further development of mobile communications in Nizhny Tagil in the coming years.
Within the framework of the agreement, the parties intend to establish and develop a telecom infrastructure of various typologies in the city, including those based on Distributed Antenna System (DAS), lighting poles and urban transport networks.
The infrastructure operator plans to invest about 150 million Rubles in the project. Thanks to its implementation, more than 100 dual-purpose poles will be installed in the city providing for deployment of mobile radio telephone network equipment of LTE and other advanced standards (including 5G) on them.
The infrastructural solutions of Russian Towers make it possible to deliver high-quality mobile communications with seamless coverage to the citizens. The company applies the latest technologies and innovative global practices in its operation. Development of the telecom infrastructure in Nizhny Tagil will also contribute to further improvement of security systems (traffic police cameras, surveillance cameras of the Ministry of Internal Affairs). In the future, it will be also used by the Civil Defence and Emergency Response agencies (public warning and address systems, weather and wind sensors).
“Our facilities are located in 60 regions of Russia. We have already invested over 12 billion Rubles in the country's telecom infrastructure,” said Alexander Chub, President of Russian Towers Group. "Modern telecom infrastructure is the basis for development of a modern city, which largely affects its investment attractiveness and ultimately determines the quality of life of its citizens. We are confident that the strategic partnership with the City Administration of Nizhny Tagil will have a positive effect on the promotion of innovative solutions of the digital economy that establish a comfortable and “smart” urban environment. Nizhny Tagil is one of the biggest industrial centres of Russia, and its development is impossible without it. We are pleased to cooperate with the local administration in the implementation of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation” in the territory of the city".
Russian Towers presented to the local administration a three-year project implementation plan. 39 antenna mast structures of the infrastructure operator will be installed in the city as early as in 2019.
“No doubt that innovative solutions in the field of telecommunications will give an incentive to the development of companies of the city both in the industrial and social areas, and, of course, will make the life of Nizhny Tagil citizens more comfortable,” emphasized Vladislav Pinaev. “In addition, Russian Towers is a socially oriented company. We are already negotiating with its management for participation in various social projects in the city".
