Russian Towers and Tobolsk City Administration signed a letter of intent
The leader in the independent telecom infrastructure market Russian Towers group of companies and Tobolsk City Administration signed a letter of intent to implement the "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation" program in Tobolsk.
The letter was signed by City Mayor Maksim Afanasiev and President of Russian Towers Alexander Chub.
The letter defines cooperation between the parties in the development of the information and telecom infrastructure for communications aimed at establishing sustainable favorable conditions for living and residency and the business activity of the Tobolsk population.
Mayor of Tobolsk Maksim Afanasyev:
“Tobolsk is now at the start of a number of serious programs related to digitalization. They include “Bright Tobolsk”, “Safe City”, which are fundamental segments that provide the basis for full-scale implementation of the comprehensive “Smart City” program. That is why high-quality, uninterrupted communication is very important. At the same time, Tobolsk is a city with its unique architectural appearance, and it is very important for us to take into account both aesthetics and multi-functionality of facilities as early as at their designing stage. In the course of implementation, we will surely take into account the interests of residents of remote territories and, where possible, provide for coverage of suburban recreation areas, tourist attraction sites”.
President of Russian Towers Group Alexander Chub:
“Now it is more than ever important to combine efforts in the development of a digital economy. High-quality telecom infrastructure is a platform for telecom as a whole: it provides for uninterrupted operation of mobile providers and creates conditions for the development of new services. We are confident that our experience in the implementation of various infrastructural projects together with the support from the City Administration will create the necessary conditions for the development of a modern digital environment in Tobolsk”.
