Russian Towers attended GSMA Mobile 360 Series - EurasiaOn October 8, 2019 the international conference GSMA Mobile 360 Series - Eurasia began – the regional conference & exhibition held by the GSM Association (Global System for Mobile Communications).
The first pannel session "Investing in the Digital Future: 5G and IoT Infrastructure Models" was summed up by Alexander Chub, Russian Towers Group president. Alexander reflected on the role of infrastructure operators in 5G development: with the rapid change of telecommunications market, new technological solutions require innovative infrastructure.
"The 5G cellular network standard is primarily charachterized by its high speed and rapidly growing volumes of data trafficed, as well as reduced latency. These criteria, together with the requirements for coverage (e.g. area, density, seamlessness), determine the tenfold network growth in the upcoming years. At the same time, networks become more compound due to foregrounding development in heterogeneous urban environments and along highways, as well as because of the need for passive load-bearing structural systems, DAS, FOS, electric power lines and operational computer systems being integrated into engineering solutions.
In this paradigm, an infrastructure company would rather arrange full coverage of a given areal or functional perimeter, regardless of complexity level required, than dispose the equipment at a single location.
We are proud of our innovative 5G-ready projects, namely, the development of full mobile coverage in the cities of Nizhny Tagil and Kronstadt, the creation of modern telecommunications infrastructure in the international exhibition center "Ekaterinburg-EXPO" and the multifunctional complex "Chinese business center "Park Huaming",
– commented Alexander Chub.
After a successful launch in 2018, the Moscow GSMA Mobile 360 Series - Eurasia conference takes place for the second time, attended by over 600 delegates. The program of the event includes a wide range of topics related to mobile technology, the discussion revolving around the launch of 5G commercial network. The issues of network infrastructure, Internet of things (IoT), digital identification, artificial intelligence, smart cities, intellectual mobility and others are also to be covered.
The GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications Association) represents the interests of mobile network operators worldwide, with over 750 operators and almost 400 companies brought together in a broader mobile ecosystem including handset and device makers, software companies, equipment providers and Internet companies, as well as organisations in related industries.
