Russian Towers’ Team Gets Stronger: A New IT Director Appointed

The Russian Towers Group announces the appointment of Boris Shevelev as its IT Director.

His essential duties will include further development of RUBAHA (РУБАХА) information platform launched this year as well as design and implementation of the company’s new digital services.

"Nowadays, the information technologies become one of Russian Towers’ key development tools. I’m sure that Boris’s expertise and competencies will give a new impetus for achieving higher results in securing the company’s innovative and faster growth", says Alexander Chub, President of the Russian Towers Group.

Boris has 22 years of professional IT experience with 18 years at managerial positions. Before joining the Russian Towers Group he was employed with Servier as IT Director and headed Metlife’s IT Department.

In 2001, Boris graduated from the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics with a degree in Computing Facilities & Systems Software as Engineer and, in 2009, from the HSE’s Higher School of Business Informatics majoring in Management.

Making comments on his appointment Boris Shevelev noted that "Modern telecommunications and digital technologies are constantly upgrading thereby opening new horizons and posing new challenges for Russian Towers as an infrastructural operator. Leading the company’s IT processes is a great responsibility for me. I suppose my primary focus is to implement and optimize package IT solutions for an efficient design work that makes every member of our team feel his or her contribution to the common cause and gain success".
